Salt Flats

This guy and I spent our Saturday venturing out and seeing what our lovely state has to offer. We headed West and ran into the salt flats. We kept going until we rolled into Wendover... nothing exciting to report about there. I wouldn't stop talking about how I was going to put a dollar in the slots, but as soon as I stepped foot into the Rainbow Casino, I chickened out and left empty handed. I guess gambling just isn't my cup of tea. As the day winded down we parked off the side of the road at the Great Salt Air where we took our shoes off and walked across the salt watered banks of the lake. Something tells me I'm coming here more often.

Yellowstone

A couple of weekends ago my family rented out a cabin on the shores of Henry Lake. While we were up there we visited Wyoming and all it has to offer: bears and geysers and more bears. Most of the time we were in our car driving through the park. While looking out the window at the scenery, I could only think of one thing... Guy on a Buffalo. It was a dream come true.

Causey Reservoir

    A. I'm deathly afraid of heights. B. I'm not the strongest swimmer. Heck, I was proud of myself for even climbing up the dang rock face. Although I only jumped once, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. I faced two of my fears with two of my besties. What a way to start the season!

Well Shoooot!

Today marked the day in the history of my life when I shot a gun for the first time. Thanks to Braxton, my best friend and instructor, I took a crash course in shot guns 101. Heaven help the world. Here I come!

Happy New Year!

New Year's was a bust, but I love these girls. Last year I made hokey resolutions: gain a pound and get 1000 Facebook friends. Easily I accomplished both. This year I'm going for something a little more difficult. I want to make all my decisions based on what I want, not based on the fear of what other people will think or feel. I want to take life by the horns and confront my obstacles head on. I deserve to get what I want, and I'm not settling for less. Step aside passive aggressive, people pleasing Morgan!

Pumpkin Carving

Monday nights are always the highlight of my week. Since its the month of October, it only made sense that we carved pumpkins for an FHE activity.

Three of my most favorite people in the whole world! Alex's pumpkin is Sponge Bob in case you can't tell.

Morgan and I (yes her name is Morgan too) made the best dynamic duo ever. She gutted the insides while I made all the precision cuts with my handy dandy electric carver that I was threatening everyone's lives with.

Here's the finished product all lit up and ready to scare. He's our masterpiece of the month.
